A Labyrinth of Long Term Care Choices
Need information for an aging relative or yourself but don't know where to start? The overall goal of the ADRC (Aging & Disability Resources for Colorado) program is to empower individuals to effectively navigate their health and other long-term support options through free, unbiased assistance. Sometimes referred to as one stop shops or "no wrong door" systems, ADRCs address many of the frustrations consumers and their families experience when trying to find needed information, services, and supports. Through integration or coordination of existing aging and disability service systems, ADRC programs raise visibility about the full range of options that are available, provide objective information, advice, counseling and assistance, empowering people to make informed decisions about their long term supports, and help people more easily access public and private long term supports and services programs. The ADRC program is available to people age 60 and over and age 18 59 with a disability that have long-term care needs.

The Purpose of Arikare

Arikare was conceived to enhance the lives of people. We specialize in senior care to help people stay in the comfort of their home. We provide companionship, rides to appointments, patient advocacy when a family member cant attend medical appointments and procedures. What began as a journey of helping family members, we saw the need in our community for a different kind of care. We are considered a home care placement agency under state standards in which we match you with caregivers to start and maintain healthy relationships. Arikare was created right here in Pueblo with the help of Mrs. Agatha Jackson in 2013. We officially started serving Pueblo and surrounding areas in 2015. Our mission is to provide quality non-medical care to our community. The goal of Arikare is to partner with the client and their family to help meet the physical and emotional needs of patients. By providing quality non-medical services, we are meeting the needs of the community we serve. We are continuously monitoring our services to do well by doing good.
