Spencer Skinner was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and received a Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah. He then completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and OU Medical Center. His residency was followed by a fellowship specializing in orthopedic hand and upper extremity, completed at Virginia Commonwealth University and VCU Medical Center. He specializes in orthopedic surgery in hand, upper extremity, and peripheral nerve surgery. His interests include treatment of traumatic and non-traumatic hand, wrist, and elbow conditions (Carpal tunnel, tendonitis, masses, and cysts, trigger finger, arthritis, Dupuytren’s contractures, deformities, etc.). Nerve conditions and nerve injuries of the upper extremity, arthroscopy of the wrist and elbow, traumatic injuries to tendons and ligaments, dislocations, and fractures from the clavicle to the fingertips. He enjoys restoring or improving hand function in his patients to allow them to have more fulfilled life experiences. He is passionate about his work and provides compassionate and excellent care to his patients.
