Those with a more optimistic view on aging lived significantly longer, even after accounting for factors like health, socioeconomic status, and loneliness.

Levy's findings, published in her 2023 book "Breaking the Age Code," demonstrate how age beliefs can influence the aging process, including gene expression. Simply put, how you think about growing older can literally add years to your life – a remarkable discovery.
