Don't miss this opportunity to connect with other caregivers and enhance your understanding of dementia. We look forward to seeing you there!Cost: $175 per person and includes lunch.Megan's bio: Megan Carnarius, RN, NHA, LMT, is a published author and the owner of Memory Care Consulting, LLC.  Megan has over 22 years in direct management of memory care settings in skilled and assisted living, with 33 years in geriatric nursing.  She is a registered nurse (RN), a licensed nursing home administrator (NHA) and licensed massage therapist (LMT).  Megan served on the Alzheimers Association education committee, designed award-winning memory care facilities, and served as an adjunct faculty member at Naropa University.  In 2015, she published A Deeper Perspective on Alzheimers and Other Dementias: Practical Tools with Spiritual Insights (Findhorn Press).  Megan launched her consulting practice in 2016.  She provides building design & program consulting, care management and caregiving consulting to families and facilities, and lectures and training.  Megan is also a co-founder of The Alchemy of Aging Project. This story appears in the September issue of Cleaver, and also in the forthcoming collection, Save Me, Stranger, January 2025. Betty Hart returns with Abner Genece and Larry Cahn making their Stories on Stage debut. Both Abner and Larry have numerous film and television credits to their name. Abner Genece is an actor of Haitian descent, and grew up in Massachusetts, Ohio and Florida. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York; and has appeared in stage productions in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and Denver. Genece received an NAACP Theatre Award for his portrayal of Haitian leader Jean-Jacques Dessalines in the first installment of "For the Love of Freedom." He is also known for his work on such projects as Better Off Ted, Zeke and Luther, and Harry's Law. Larry Cahns credits include the films Lost Angeles, and Freedom Writers and television appearances in Longmire, The Good Wife, Greys Anatomy, The West Wing and Law & Order. Join our wonderful actors at the free milk and cookies reception after the show.   The term woke was popularized by the Black civil rights movement and gained widespread usage with Black Lives Matter movement.
