About Cerebrovascular Lab - Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine (IEEM)

The Cerebrovascular Lab at the IEEM is directed by Dr. Rong Zhang, Professor of Neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The Lab studies brain aging; specifically the effects of cardiovascular risk factors and lifestyle changes on the brain. Dr. Zhang is currently conducting research with older adults looking at the effects of lifestyle modifications on Alzheimers Disease risk factors. More information about Dr. Zhangs research, and ways that you can get involved, can be found on the IEEM website.

The Labs current study, IPAT, aims to determine the impact of intensive blood pressure treatment on Alzheimers Disease risk. We are recruiting participants aged 60-80, with hypertension, and memory concerns or family history of dementia. If you, or someone you know, are interested in participating in IPAT visit the IEEM website. Or take the prescreen here to see if you are eligible (https://ais.swmed.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=EC8JM7XX8M38PMC7).
