AI-Based Fitness Wearable and App Program for Older Adults Living Alone With Cognitive Decline

Researchers at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville are seeking participants for a six-month, home-based research study involving a fitness wearable and mobile app. The program is designed for older adults who live alone and have mild memory or thinking concerns.

Who Can Participate?

You may qualify if you:

  • Are 65 years of age or older
  • Live alone in the United States
  • Have an iPhone or Android smartphone
  • Have internet or Wi-Fi access at home
  • Have mild memory or thinking concerns
  • Complete fewer than 150 minutes of exercise each week

What Will Participants Do?

Participants will:

  • Wear a Fitbit Charge 6 activity tracker, which will be provided
  • Use a fitness app, if applicable
  • Answer questions about their health
  • Participate in the study for six months
  • Complete all activities from homeno travel is required

  • Learn new ways to support their health and well-being
