During the event in Tallahassee on January 25, 2024, Evertrust Health participated as a strong voice for our community. As advocates for Region 8 residents and the elderly population, we addressed the challenges our community is currently facing, particularly in relation to the 80/20 rule of Medicaid and other legal matters.Yileny Echevarria, Evertrust Healths Administrator, actively worked to make a difference by advocating for improved benefits for our community. Her efforts focused on informing legislators about the importance of supporting the home care sector, including equitable Medicaid reimbursement, reducing regulatory burdens, and safeguarding access to high-quality, cost-effective in-home care.We remain dedicated to making a lasting impact on behalf of both our community and the home

Evertrust Health is proud to partner with the American Heart Association to actively sponsor community events focused on raising awareness about cardiovascularr health. Our goal is to support the well-being of our community by educating individuals on the early signs and symptoms of heart disease, enabling them to take action when necessary.As part of this ongoing commitment, Evertrust Health participated in the Red Dress Event on October 3, 2024, which aims to raise awareness about cardiovascular health, particularly among women. Our Administrator, Yileny Echevarria, is actively engaged in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest industry changes and best practices. Recently, Yileny participated in the 2024 certification program by CHAP, designed to build an operational toolkit that helps agencies like ours run effectively and grow, all while providing client-centered care.This skill-based workshop, tailored specifically for home care/private duty providers, focused on increasing agency success through key areas such as:  *   Understanding the core components of home care business operations  *   Navigating regulatory requirements and compliance standards  *   Implementing best practices for quality programming  *   Marketing and business development techniques specific to home care  *   Reviewing trends and best practices in workforce management  *   Applying fiscal management skills, including an overview of operational expensesBy participating in this workshop, Evertrust Health is enhancing its operational excellence and ensuring that we continue to provide the highest level of care for our community. On April 17, 2024, EverTrust Health proudly participated in the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) Spring Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. Florida led the nation in attendance, with approximately 100 representatives advocating for critical issues affecting home healthcare, including the Preserving Access to Home Health Act (S.2137/H.R.5159).Our team emphasized the importance of maintaining Medicare and Medicaid funding and addressed the challenges posed by the recent 80-20 payment adequacy provision. This provision, which mandates that a significant portion of Medicaid payments be allocated for direct care worker compensation, risks undermining access to vital services for vulnerable populations.During the event, EverTrust Health highlighted our commitment to advocating for legislation that supports our caregivers and patients. We also expressed gratitude to our colleagues and legislators for their dedication to improving home healthcare services.As we continue to engage with lawmakers, we encourage everyone to make their voices heard.
