The UCCS Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences houses six clinics that provide health and wellness services to the community while serving academic functions of teaching and research. Aging services are provided within the Peak Vista Lane Family Senior Center, the CU Aging Center, the Peak Nutrition Clinic, and the Center for Active Living. In addition, primary care services are available within a clinic operated by the Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and specialty mental health services area available within the Veteran Health and Trauma Clinic, a specialty mental health services clinic is available to veterans and military personnel and their families. Program offices to support a new cohort of the 3rd and 4th year medical students at UCCS are housed in the Lane Center as well.A full continuum of services are available to adults and older adults within the Lane Center, ranging from health promotion and wellness to complex management of chronic or acute conditions. The approach used emphasizes partnership between providers and service users in achieving personalized goals established by each client or patient.A unique aspect of the Lane Center service clinics are programs that allow patients and providers to work within an integrated service delivery model. Clients and patients can choose to work with a particular clinic, integrate work within one or more clinics with other community providers, or work across the full continuum of health and wellness programs available within Lane Center. Providers are committed to a multi-dimensional view of health and wellness that is inherently multi-disciplinary.
