Since the period of great inventions, many new innovations have come along to bring freedom to each consumer in more ways than could ever be imagined. Some great technologies come to the forefront in regard to home oxygen medical devices. One type of device is called the Portable Oxygen Concentrator (referred as a POC). Not more than 10 years ago, one of my patients told me about a man using oxygen he spotted in Wendover, NV. He was not using a normal oxygen tank, so my patient asked what it was. He showed him a new device that produces oxygen like his home oxygen concentrator but was small enough to carry. He said it could run off electricity from a wall plug outlet, a cigarette car charger, and even a battery. My patient wanted that machine enough to the point he was willing to pay whatever it took to get it. I told him I would do my best. When I found the item, it was in Beta testing, which meant that the man he saw was testing it out for the manufacturer to see if it was durable enough to use in the general public. Modern day advances have brought us many models of small portable oxygen concentrators. With over 10 years of research, we found the newer and improved models that give us a competitive edge over our competition. A new model is now out called the Inogen One G2 which is New for 2010. It weighs 7 pounds with battery power of up to 8 hours on a 2-liter setting. We invested heavily into these special devices to help patients go wherever they need. They are even FAA approved for airplane transportation, inside and outside of the United States. We give freedom back to the oxygen patient. For more information, please call 800-446-9943.
