About Boise Parks & Recreation Department

Boise Parks and Recreation maintains more than 90 parks, 200+ miles of trails, 25 miles of the Boise River Greenbelt pathway, and hundreds of acres of open space. Our recreational facilities include Zoo Boise, two golf courses, six outdoor poolsIdaho IceWorld and more.

We offer affordable classes and camps. From art to drama, dance classes to fitness programs, nature tours or special events, theres something for everyone. We serve hundreds of low-income kids at school-based community centers. We are also proud to offer an Adaptive Recreation program that serves children and adults with disabilities.

Boise Parks and Recreation maintains more than 90 developed parks across the city, approximately 210 miles of Ridge to Rivers trails in the Boise Foothills, 25 miles of the Boise River Greenbelt pathway and thousands of acres of open space. The department's recreational facilities include Zoo Boise, two municipal golf coursespoolsIdaho IceWorld and more.

Our team offers affordable classes and camps for all ages and abilities. From art to drama, dance classes to fitness programs, educational nature tours to special events, theres something for everyone! Plus, we serve hundreds of children after class at our school-based community centers. Boise Parks and Recreation is also proud to offer an Adaptive Recreation program that serves children and adults with disabilities.
