End End Cooperative Ministry

EECM is an interfaith ministry that offers 24-hour shelter and non-medical respite care for adults who are unable to return to their prior housing situation and are in need of a comfortable place to rest and heal after a hospital discharge.  This care is offered at the ORR Compassionate Care Center in East Liberty, a home-like setting for 12 individuals.  This respite care program requires a referral from a counselor or a case manager.  The Housing & Employment Services offered  encompass a range of vital support options aimed at assisting individuals and families in need. One of the primary services is emergency shelter, which provides immediate housing for those facing homelessness. Additionally, there is a recovery house program designed to support individuals in their journey towards recovery.Central to these services is case management, which plays a crucial role in helping clients navigate various challenges. Case managers work closely with individuals and families to meet basic needs, find permanent housing resources, obtain income and benefits, access insurance and health care, and connect with other community-based resources. This comprehensive support is essential for fostering stability and independence.Moreover, case managers assist clients with practical needs such as obtaining identification documents like IDs, birth certificates, and Social Security cards. They also help individuals locate affordable housing options, secure rental and utility assistance, and address other miscellaneous needs that may arise. Overall, these services aim to empower individuals and families to build strong foundations and achieve greater self-fulfillment in their lives.
