Established in 1971, SRDA has evolved into a comprehensive, coordinated service delivery system that provides a wide range of senior and intergenerational services. In many regions senior programs are fragmented throughout the community, causing duplication and gaps in service. Our elected officials and community leaders recognized the value and importance of combining several programs under oneumbrella organization, resulting in minimal overhead administrative expenses. SRDA has long been recognized as a model program, whose mission is to provide programs and projects that enhance the quality of life for the senior and disabled community of Pueblo and increase their opportunities to live in thecomfort of their own home. Currently twelve departments are housed at SRDA providing a variety of services that include: Meals on Wheels, Nutrition and Congregate Meal Sites, Transportation, School Crossing Guard Program, Foster Grandparents, Handyman and Homemaker Program,Lifeline, ADRC/211, Ombudsman, and Recreation.
