A trusted senior living community for 135 years, the not-for-profit Cambridge Homes features 44 independent and assisted living apartments and offers residents a wide variety of cultural, educational, wellness and social programs. The Cambridge Homes is located in an historic Georgian-style building on Mount Auburn Street just a mile from Harvard Square and adjacent to Mount Auburn Hospital. The exterior facade and interior original architectural details, such as fireplaces and detailed wood paneling, have been preserved or replicated to maintain the historic character of the century-old building. Antiques and fine art can be found throughout the residence. This gracious community is a good choice for individuals who wish to enjoy the many benefits of city living but who also desire security, personalized services and companionship. The residents of The Cambridge Homes enjoy its relaxed ambiance, stimulating programs and top quality services. At Goddard House, we believe that quality of life is paramount and so our traditional assisted living program provides every amenity residents need to feel safe, comfortable and independent. Our community provides each resident a charming apartment home in a beautifully designed, contemporary building featuring state-of-the-art common areas like our indoor garden, fitness studio, art gallery and sun deck, as well as ample outdoor spaces including a shady gazebo, spacious front porch, landscaped garden terraces, al fresco dining areas and walking paths throughout the community grounds. Our Traditional Assisted Living program is designed for those seniors who are more independent and yet need some daily support or assistance, such as medication reminders, access to nutritious meals, or help getting dressed.

Weve designed for gracious country living inside and out, including beautiful landscaping, courtyards, balconies and patios for private gatherings. Indoors, there are lots of homey nooks for reading, visiting or relaxing, including our library with a gas fireplace. The pub has another great fireplace and a large high-definition TV. Its a popular place to watch a ball game and enjoy a cup of coffee. And our piano lounge area has proven to be a great gathering spot with friends before mealtime.With a full range of social events and activities, theres always something going on. That includes movies every night in our cinema (both first-run and timeless classics), lectures and educational programs in our Arts and Media center, daily fitness classes, art classes, book clubs, and card games, plus live entertainment almost every week in the lounge. Not to mention wireless Internet access, high-definition televisions and Wii interactive video games in our lounges. The hardest part is choosing what to do first! Heights Crossing hosts several special events throughout the year including our annual Antique Auto Show and frequent barbecues. The Mayors Summer Concert Series and our Casino Nights are resident favorites.
