Our team works directly with individuals and families to assess needs, identify available support, and coordinate access to appropriate servicesall with a person-centered approach. We are a cornerstone of aging services in the region, connecting older adults with both community-based and in-home supports that promote dignity, independence, and well-being.Our Core Senior Programs and ServicesRegion 10s services are focused on supporting older adults with the greatest economic and social need. We deliver or coordinate a comprehensive array of senior programs, many of which are free or low-cost and funded through the Older Americans Act and other sources. These services include: Nutrition ServicesGood nutrition is key to healthy aging. Region 10 offers congregate and home-delivered meal programs for older adults. Our Meals on Wheels service ensures that homebound seniors receive balanced, nutritious meals delivered directly to their doors. Congregate meal sites across the region also offer opportunities for socialization and engagement in a supportive community setting. Transportation AssistanceAccess to reliable transportation is critical for seniors who no longer drive. Region 10 coordinates non-emergency transportation services for older adults to attend medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and other essential destinations. These transportation options help maintain independence and reduce social isolation. Caregiver Support ServicesCaring for an aging loved one can be both rewarding and exhausting. Our Caregiver Support Program offers respite care, education, resources, and emotional support to those who are dedicating their time to care for a family member. Services include respite vouchers, access to caregiver training, and one-on-one consultations to help caregivers manage stress and plan for long-term care.Legal AssistanceSeniors often face complex legal concerns, including wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, tenant rights, and more. Through partnerships with qualified legal providers, Region 10 offers free legal assistance to older adults, empowering them to protect their rights and make informed choices. In-Home Support ServicesFor seniors who wish to age in place, Region 10 provides access to in-home care services such as homemaking, personal care, and respite care. These services can include light housekeeping, bathing assistance, medication reminders, and temporary relief for family caregivers. Maintaining independence at home is possible with the right support systems in place.Personalized Options CounselingOne of the most valuable services offered by Region 10 AAA is Options Counseling.
