The Castle Rock Senior Activity Center (CRSAC) is a 5013 non-profit hosting a membership of over 1300 older adults over the age of 50. Now in our 54th year, CRSAC has been providing programming and services to older adults who are loving life in their second half. Our membership ages range from 50-100 which means we have very diverse programming offering adrenaline-producing bucket list trips to the more sedate bridge league groups, and everything in between. People choose to come for activities, make friends for life, get involved in our community, try new things, stay active in sports and exercise, participate in special interest groups, eat often, laugh more and just hang out together. We also provide special services and wellness activities. Our Transportation Program, utilizing volunteer drivers provides shuttle rides for older adults throughout Castle Rock to medical appointments for those unable to drive, often allowing riders to live independently. During the pandemic, we continued our transportation services, Meals on Wheels delivery in Douglas County, transitioned our VOA congregate meal site to a pickup / delivery program and back again. Assurance phone calls, care package delivery, as well as grocery shopping and delivery to door continued and still carries on today.
