About Cat Depot

Cat Depot is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Sarasota, Florida, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting out homeless and abandoned cats and kittens. Since its inception, Cat Depot has found homes for more than 20,000 felines, establishing itself as a leader in animal welfare.

The organization operates a state-of-the-art, free-roaming adoption center recognized for its progressive design, providing a safe and enriching environment for cats awaiting adoption. In addition to adoption services, Cat Depot offers affordable, cat-specific veterinary care through its Rose Durham Cat Care Clinic, open to the public by appointment.

Beyond direct care, Cat Depot is committed to public education and community engagement. It offers humane education programs, volunteer opportunities, and resources to support cat owners and advocates. The organization also runs a Community Cats Program, addressing the needs of feral and free-roaming cats in the area.

Cat Depot's mission is to save lives, find loving homes, and provide resources and education to improve the destiny of homeless cats. Support for Care Partners: The mission of the Parkinson~s Association of Southwest Florida is to help our community members with PD to live well. Supporting the care partners of those with PD is a critical component of that support. In addition to ur Powerful Tools for Garegivers series, we offer both in-person and Zoom support groups for care givers/partners. To become a member and learn more Click HerePowerful Tools for CaregiversPowerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC): A series of classes to help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver.  The PTC program is an evidence-based education program offering a unique combination of elements.  In 2012, the PTC program was deemed to have met the highest-level criteria of evidence-based disease prevention and health promotion programs per the Administration on Aging/Administration for Community Living. The Powerful Tools for Caregivers program will give you tools to help you:Reduce Stress Improve Self-Confidence Manage Time, Set Goals, and Solve Problems Better Communicate Your Feelings Locate Helpful Resources Make Tough DecisionsDetails about the PTC ProgramLed by trained facilitatorsIn-person at PASWFL office 10-12 male and female caregiversSix weeks; once a week 2 hour per session PASWFL sponsored; no expense to the PASWFL member caregiver PASWFL sponsored; no expense to the PASWFL member caregiver Curriculum Weeks 1 through 6      1.
