About Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh

The Emmaus Community seeks to improve the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities and autism. In living, working and breaking bread together, people with and without disabilities enjoy fellowship by sharing who they are and what they have with one another. The community operates in ten permanent neighborhoods throughout the greater Pittsburgh area.

Emmaus hosts various special events and meetings for parents, caregivers and others who are interested in learning more about services for people with special needs.

The Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh provides several key services aimed at supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities:

1. Community-Based Homes: These homes offer 24-hour support tailored to the specific needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring they receive life-changing care.
2. In-Home & Community Supports: This service helps individuals build new skills, develop relationships, and increase their independence both at home and within the community.
3. Education & Outreach: Emmaus works to raise public awareness about the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and provides assistance to individuals and families seeking support.
