About GRAN - An International Reading Program

GRAN is a free intergenerational reading program offered to community members living in 15207 and surrounding neighborhoods! By building bridges between generations, Pittsburgh older adults will inspire children to increase their understanding and practice of ethical values that are the foundation of community members, no matter their age.GRAN provides an opportunity for older adults and children to connect and foster intergenerational relationships while learning valuable lessons and a love of reading.Please contact us to learn more and how you can become involved!

Virtual Senior Academy

The Virtual Senior Academy was launched by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation in August of 2017 to serve seniors living in Allegheny County through an interactive online platform offering engaging educational content on a variety of topics. The Virtual Senior Academy is designed to connect seniors with their peers through video conferencing technology from the comfort of their own residence or community setting. The program allows seniors to stay socially and intellectually engaged, expand their social networks, and foster creativity and life-long learning.
