Joy Riders is a FREE, volunteer-powered biking program offering wheelchair bike rides to individuals with limited mobility. Riders of all ages can enjoy the freedom of the trail safely, comfortably, and with a whole lot of heart. Using specially designed wheelchair-accessible bikes, trained volunteers guide riders on gentle, scenic trips that spark connection, confidence, and pure joy. Friends and family are encouraged to bike along.
Joy Riders Pgh offers rides along Pittsburghs North Shore River Walk, starting in Millvale to Acrisure Stadium and back. Highlights include the cityscape, PNC Park, Mr Rogers statue and more on the 6 1/2 mile, one hour+ journey. Other Joy Riders locations include Rostraver, along the Great Allegheny Passage, Greensburg, along the Five Star Trail, and Murrysville on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail.
