Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is a faith-based, nationally accredited nonprofit headquartered in Tampa that has been serving vulnerable Floridians since 1982. Originally founded by Lutheran churches to assist Vietnamese and Cuban refugees, LSF has since expanded into a statewide organization that touches the lives of one in every 50 Floridians annually.

LSFs mission is to bring Gods healing, hope, and help to those in need. The organization provides a wide range of human services through three primary service areas:


  1. Head Start Delivers high-quality early childhood education and support services to low-income families, preparing children for success in school and life.

  2. Family Focus Offers programs including foster care, youth shelters, crisis intervention, refugee and immigrant support, and adult guardianship services.

  3. Health Systems Operates mental health and substance abuse programs across 23 counties in Florida, managing care systems in partnership with state agencies.
