Planos My Safety Call program helps ensure the well-being of homebound and/or elderly Plano residents through a daily phone call. Read more about the program and sign up for a daily My Safety Call.

Plano Independent School Districts RSVP program is for seniors 65+. The program provides seniors access to PISD functions, tours of PISD facilities, culinary events, senior high plays, sporting events, etc. all for free. View Learn more about PISD's RSVP program and sign up.

Many organizations focus on helping seniors in the City of Plano. A few of these organizations are listed below. Click on an organizations name to visit its website. Assistance Center of Collin County; Brings short-term assistance to qualifying individuals and families in financial crisis to help them regain self-sufficiency.

AARP; A 501c4 non-profit membership-based organization for those 50+ with a mission to enhance the quality of life for all as they age. Provides a variety of member benefits.

Meals on Wheels - home-delivered breakfast, lunch, and weekend meals available at four senior centers county-wide

Senior Safety Net Program - provides assistance and resources for walkers, wheelchairs, ramps, and emergency expenses when funds permit.

Pet Meals - assists seniors in obtaining food for their pet

Wellness Center For Older Adults; Assists older adults in achieving their highest levels of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being by providing referrals, health services, durable medical equipment, counseling, and social services.

U.S. Social Security Administration; Provides information regarding retirement, social security benefits, Medicare benefits and much more.

Texas Health and Human Services: Works with clients, families, and communities to protect children, the elderly and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

Plain-O Helpers: A faith-based handyman program of seniors helping seniors, as well as individuals with disabilities, free home maintenance and repair services, with a key focus on safety issues.

Meals on Wheels of Collin County: Assists area adults 60 and up in remaining independent in their homes, to promote socialization, and to prevent premature institutionalization. Home-delivered meals and other services are provided to qualifying individuals in Collin County.
