About Ursuline Support Services

Ursuline Support Services is a trusted 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Pittsburgh dedicated to empowering older adults, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable individuals to live with dignity, independence, and peace of mind. For more than four decades, Ursuline has served Southwestern Pennsylvania by helping individuals and families navigate complex life transitions with compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Through a person-centered approach, Ursuline Support Services provides court-appointed guardianship for adults who are no longer able to make safe decisions independently, ensuring their medical, personal, and financial needs are protected. The organization also delivers Older Adult Protective Services, responding to cases of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation, and working closely with community partners to restore safety and stability.

In addition, Ursuline offers a range of independence support services designed to help individuals remain safely in their homes and communities. These services include financial guidance and bill-pay assistance, representative payee support for Social Security and benefit management, service coordination for residents of senior and disability housing, and daily reassurance calls for individuals living alone. Together, these programs promote stability, prevent crisis, and support long-term independence.
