Senior citizens are among the most vulnerable people Utah Food Band serves. Too often, daily expenses cut into limited retirement budgets, and seniors go hungry rather than neglect a utility bill or their medication. Utah Food Banks Senior Food Box Program provides free, monthly food assistance to help low-income senior citizens. Each food box contains about a weeks worth of non-perishable food and includes milk, bread and fresh produce when available. The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) gives thousands of low-income seniors access to healthy food. USDA ships items directly to UFB and includes fruits, vegetables, and cold cereals. Call 801-978-2452 to find out how you or someone you care about can qualify for CSFP or receive a free, delivered monthly supplemental food box.
