Veterans Health Administration

The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1889 that represents state public service commissioners and utility regulatory agencies across the United States. NARUC works to improve the quality and effectiveness of public utility regulation while helping ensure consumers have access to reliable, affordable, and safe utility services, including electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, water, and transportation. NARUCs membership includes regulatory commissions from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The organization serves as a national resource for public utility commissioners by providing policy guidance, education, research, training programs, and collaboration opportunities focused on emerging utility and infrastructure issues. Through conferences, webinars, publications, and task forces, NARUC addresses important topics such as energy reliability, cybersecurity, renewable energy, broadband access, water systems, consumer protection, and utility innovation. The organization also partners with federal agencies, policymakers, and industry leaders to help strengthen utility regulation and promote fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory utility services for consumers nationwide.
